Tomorrow I will be on my way to Tromsø, the capital of the north, to a shop which was one of the first goldsmiths to take on my collections back in the early days. Elin Wintervold, the owner of Wintervold, is a great supporter for Norwegian jewelry designers, and she has a beautiful and modern shop right in the centre of Tromsø. It is well worth a visit if you are up there since you will not find such a variety of independent designers many places in Norway. It´s the second time I am invited up there and I am really looking forward to stay there during the "Kulturnatt". Tromsonians (tromsøværinger) has a taste for bold and big jewelry, which basically is what I am about. They really are a lot more daring up there when it comes to jewelry than down in Oslo.
Some of the new designs I am bringing:
KGD - kaja gjedebo design
I have been working as an artist and jewellery designer since 2002, after graduating as a furniture designer from Edinburgh College of Art in 1999.
