The designers market in oslo is arranged for the 14th year, and i have been a part of it for at least 10 years now. Great place, great designs Yesterday me and Nina Vinje drove down to Tønsberg to set up some of our collections for the x-mas exhibition in Gullsmed Ragnar Rønning's shop. Tønsberg is a remarkably nice city and it was great to meet up again with Herman Rønning and his sister who are taking over the shop from their parents these days. Looking forward to work with these people. The other day we had a photoshoot and I am always amazed how much hard work it is! We were hoping for some forecasted hours of sun, so at least we would have an illusion of summer, but it was windy, rainy and pretty miserable all the time.. The model, Silvia Delgado Silvestre was a true hero posing in thin summer clothes in the freezing wind. Make-up artist Chi Ha Tran did an amazing job in the back of a van andMira Zahl mananged to stay put even though she could not feel her fingers. Nevertheless, the pictures came out great, but we probably didn´t need to be on a beach to take them:) I met some really nice women from TJ studio during the Berlin fashionfair who was working for Luka Maurer, I was totally impressed by how professional they were and especially how well they dressed. Coming from Norway I have never hacked the continental dresscode, but it always impresses me how women on the continent manages to look so smart all the time. Anyhow, now I am invited to Lausanne in Switzerland to present my work at a showroom there at this great gallery and hopefully it will be succesful enough to spure further co-operation. Must learn to dress first.. Tomorrow is d-day for photgraphing some of my new jewellery. The collection is called "paper & scissors" and Mira Zhal is the photographer as usual, the plan was to be on a beach, but the weather-forecast will drive us indoors somewhere. Here is a little sneak-peek. I have been working with folding circles, and am amazed how you can change the appearance of one shape just by altering the direcrion of the folds. Love working with this collection and the small earrings will probably be ready for my showroom in Sugarshop later this month. |
